Life of an Asian Farmer

Life of an Asian Farmer

Have you ever asked yourself where those foods that you eat comes from? Or have you ever seen people working on the field while you are traveling Asia?

They are the great FARMERS who worked all day in the field to produce the food we need in our everyday lives.  Farmers are skilled and trained people who can grow different plants. Maybe sometimes in society, they were seen to have a lower status in life, but this must not be the perspective of all people. Farmers are our heroes without them we do not have any food to eat. They are essentially just like how vital our meals are. They produce all the important ingredients to make our food taste better.

Do you know what life of Asian farmers have? If you want to know, then you read it until the end.

Every day farmers need to wake up before sunrise. They need to prepare themselves for the whole day in the field. Farmers have to wear jackets or any sweater, long pajamas or trousers, and their straw hat. These wearables will keep them under the heat of the sun.

Farmers make sure that the plants will grow healthy and produce more fruits. The first thing that they do is to dig the soil and make it healthy for the possible plants. They remove the weeds and other unnecessary elements like rocks and worms that may hinder the growth of different plants. Then they need to plant the seeds and make sure that animals like chicken or birds will not get into their plants. After, they will water it every day unless if the rain pours down.

Moreover, giving insecticides and fertilizers can harm them, so they make sure that they put it well on their plants. Every day farmers will be on the field to make sure their plants are getting enough light and water. After, they will wait for a few weeks or more months to harvest their plants. Harvesting for them is a priceless job, especially when they have produced more.

Most Asian countries are the ones that always get affected by storms, hurricanes, and other natural calamities. Along the planting season, there may have storms or unnecessary happenings that can destroy their plants. This is the time where farmers get lost what they have and every hard work and effort that they give to their plants. Many Asian farmers do not own the land where their crops and plants are planted — these lands by the government, association, or other people in business. Farmers need to work hard to earn an income. This income goes to the needs of their family especially on their kids that are going to school.

Asian farmers are an important part of society. They produce all the foods that are necessary for people to become healthy. That is why Asian farmers must have a special place and deserve the utmost respect and appreciation. Not all heroes wear capes. Some are in the fields, and they are the great farmers.
