In March facemasks became the new normal to curb the spread of Covid-19. However not everyone was content to sport the standard facemask designs.
Tim Johnson aka Pandemic_Tim on Instagram, a US born piano teacher based in Bangkok Thailand, took facemasks to a whole new level. He started buying, collecting and even making facemasks. “It was a way to deal with the ‘doom and gloom’ of the quarantine lockdown” Tim said

“I dug out a box of old Halloween costumes and supplies that I had and started to add hats, wigs, backgrounds and funny and funky glasses to my ‘looks’ for my posts”
“This has been my “sanity project”. My friends from around the world send me personal messages about how they looked forward to my wacky photos and how much joy and laughter they get from my posts. A good friend encouraged me to start an instagram page for my facemask selfies, which is where “Pandemic_tim” was born. Tim recently lost a dear cousin and high school friend to Covid-19. He hopes that his photos remind people to wear a mask to help stop spreading this virus. “We are all in this together. Stay safe and try to have a good laugh each and every day” He added
